Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. Scarce Vietnamese-Made copy of a ChiCom stick grenade, which was brought home from Vietnam, and used as an Explosive Ordnance Displosal (EOD) familiarization model. This ordinance is inert and has been fully deactivated following guidelines provided by the ATF. The tell tale signs of indigenous Vietnamese manufacture is the crude cast fragmentation head and the smooth, non-ridged handle.
A standard of the Vietnam War, this is the typical pattern of NVA / VC long-handle smooth body stick grenade. Despite having EOD inert holes in the grenade body, the grenade is in very good condition, with both the body and stick very clean with a nice patina. The body is attached to the stick with nails, and the stick has the correct hole down the middle for the pull string, which is missing. The bottom plug is also not present. Measures about 8 1/2 inches in overall length.
