Original Item: This is an original work of art. Others are held in Museums such as the permanent collection of the Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, PA. The particular piece is number 3 of 44 made and is numbered clearly 3/44. It was purchased in 1987 directly from the artist for nearly $10,000 and has remained in the personal collection of one of Europe’s best known tank collectors the late Tony Budge.
This is a stunning Bronze sculpture of The Bronze Star, Battle of the Bulge" with hard wood base in excellent condition. The statue was handmade out of true Bronze. It was cast using the "Lost Wax Method". It is signed by renowned sculptor and artist Ken Ottinger and is dated 1987.
Features an M4A3 Sherman Tank, four US soldiers, Browning .50 Caliber Machine Gun, Thompson MG, and Garand rifle, the details are totally accurate and stunning!
Measures 37 wide by 14 high by 18 deep. Weighs approximately 65 lbs but is mounted on a hardwood swivel base making rotating simple.
We believe that this is the very first one of these pieces that has come to the open market in nearly 20 years making it a true collectors piece that will only appreciate in value over time.
