Item Description
Original Item: The German's used this weapon in such frequency that they gave it an official denotation; The MACHINEPISTOL 738(i), which was also know as the Italian Beretta Model 38/42 fluted barrel Sub Machine Gun. This WW2 Sub Machine Gun was first introduced in 1942 and very quickly became a favorite not only in Mussolini's Italy but with the German Army too! Chambered in 9mm parabellum, this fired the same cartridge as the German Mp 28, MP 34(o), and the legendary MP 38/40 Schmeisser Sub Machine Guns. Surprisingly well built, originally all Italian weapons declined in quality as the war progressed, but the M-38/42 was a stand out exception and remained a great favorite of the Germans as can be witnessed in countless WW2 photographs.
Arrives complete with wood stock assembly and 25 round UZI magazine, (magazine will be non-functional if ordered in a restricted State). As with all IMA display guns, this WW2 SMG has been converted to an inert non-firing display using a solid aluminum receiver as it's base and then fully constructed with original WW2 Parts.
