Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. Made in approximately 1940, this is a World War 2 German hand-crank siren. It has a sound damper and the chopper, stator and handle are made of Bakelite. It constructed from a wonderful red bakelite and still functions by emitting a classic air raid siren screech when cranked. The reverse is maker marked, the folding bakelite handle is marked Ziehen (Pull). The bakelite parts are of the most desirable red/brown variety. This is a very rare hard to find piece offered in fully operational condition. Please note that it takes quite a bit of force to get it going but once you do it is LOUD!
