Original WWII U.S. Navy Miniature Teacher Models of Japanese Navy Fleet in Case - Complete Set

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is both amazing and interesting. Manufactured during WW2 specifically to assist both Naval personnel and aircrews to identify Japanese WWII ships from a distance.

There were instances of attacks taking place on friendly war ships so with these models pilots could become familiar with vessels from a great altitude and sailors from a distance on the horizon.

This set is contained in a wood chest measuring that opens like a book to display 16 individual slots each containing a Japanese Fleet model vessel. Each vessel is made from lead is marked with the ship's name or class.

In all this set has 18 vessel models ranging from battleships and aircraft carriers down to mine sweepers. Everything is painted battleship grey. Each model has incredible detail, however, just a few may be absent a small fitting or two.

The original U.S. government issued wood chest is marked:

U.S. NAVY
TEACHER MODELS
JAPANESE NAVY
