Item Description
New Made Item: In use from the Victorian Era through WW2, these are the heavy brown woven cord Handgun Lanyards originally designed for the Cavalry but were soon adopted by most Officers of all Ranks from about 1875 onwards. Intended to be worn, around the shoulder, these 38" woven Cord lanyards attached to rings on the base of a handgun via a sturdy sprung brass clasp. Most often seen worn with the Sam Browne Belt Ensemble, these have many times saved a Cavalry man who dropped his Pistol while in Combat. Comes complete with sliding toggle, a perfect addition to any period collection.
