Original Item: Over its years in service, the M1 Garand rifle was issued with a variety of cleaning equipment. IMA ha obtained a few of the Korean War era kits. This kit contains the following components: cleaning rod assembly M10 (includes 4 rod sections, a patch tip, and a handle/multifunction tool), the ?finger case? for the rod sections; a double-ended lubricant case, nylon muzzle protector, nylon spacer, and a small screw-top container of grease, rifle. Most of the parts are like new; a few are used. Some of the components, such as the spacer and muzzle protector, are hard to find. The M10 rod alone usually sells for about $30.00.

Most of the parts of the kit were as described.
Very nice kit. The oiler/lube
Very nice kit. The oiler/lube plastic is yellowed, which I would expect from something that old. The only new part is the bore brush, which doesn't really bother me. They wear out and need replacing anyway. I'm a little unhappy that the M10 tool itself has the threaded portion of a rod broken off in it. It will require an easy out and a drill to get it removed. The rods are in very good condition. The case has that "old gun" smell to it. It's as described and goes nicely with the idea of keeping my M1 completely original from 1954.
