Item Description
New Made Item: A fabulous full size steel non-functional reproduction of the classic U.S. WW2 anti-tank mine used in Eurpoe and the Pacific theater during World War Two.
During WWII the United States developed and used several versions of Anti-Tank mines, starting with the M1, followed by the M1A1 and finally the M4. They all had the same basic design of a "spider" on the top of the mine being used to actuate a fuse in the center of the mine when it was subjected to enough pressure. The M1 had two locations where it was filled with explosives, while the M1A1 only had one, as well as utilized a simpler design spider that required less machine time. The more advanced M4 mine also featured two secondary fuse locations that could be used to make the mines much harder to remove or defuse.
The mine features and all steel body, correct "spider" top, carry handle, fuse, pull cord with pin, and a black painted stenciled letters that read:
ANTI-TANK
MINE M1
Perfect for any display or reenactment.
Dimensions:
8" diameter
4.5" High (with spider frame attached)
Weight: 4 1/2 Lbs

Spyder is wrong
It is nice to see a steel copy of the M1 mine but it is not a correct copy of the spyder. In an original the outside ring is not solid. Please see pic that shows an original.
M1 anti Tank mines
Looks nice but you will need to cut out repo fuse to fit in original mine racks on a halftrack
Awesome repro
Will be using these in the mine rack of my ’41 M3 Halftrack.
INERT/ MODEL U.S. WW2 AT "Mine"
- Very nicely made copies/ accurately looking (in my non-ordnance-expert view) of the WW2 original - Substantially made to last - impressive appearance - Perfect 'add' for our WW2 White M-2 Halftrack's side racks (as seen in numerous pics, which is where I got the idea !) - Glad to have them - Fine display copies of often hard to find/ expensive originals, with out the restoration 'hassle' (and additional expense !) - Thanks to folks at IMA for making these available - Photo (in the rack) pending CGR (27 Mar 20) Collector
Top quality reproduction
Excellent in every way; method of construction, materials, fit and finish. Rather than chipping, deforming or otherwise breaking, as would happen with other materials, this all-steel reproduction will only look more authentic with age.
Good display piece.
Well made, sturdy. My only complaint is that the pressure ring rattles loosely, but if you bend the fingers to hold better, the ring won't go on or off.
M1 Mines
The M1 Mines I received are excellent! Made of heavy duty steel. They make a great addition to my WW2 M2 Halftrack.
