Original Item: The Vickers gun saw several stages of development in its rear sight assemblies. This version is known as the Mk III, which means that it has a Mk II sight stem and a Mk II sight slide. Although the Mk II stem is widely encountered, having been standard for most of the life of the Vickers, the Mk II sight slide is very scarce today. All examples of it were supposed to have been removed and replaced by the Mk II*, which is quite a bit different and which are quite common. We have only a very few of these early sight assemblies.
