Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. Here we have a very interesting items from the German WWII era - a brass "master mold" for making sculptures and plaques. There are various different ways to make cast items, and this mold looks like it may be intended to be used as part of a "sand casting" process. It would be pressed into a mixture of sand and fillers to help keep it in shape. The post on the back of the mold was used to pull it out of the sand, and then molten metal could be poured into the left over cavity.
This master mold shows the bust of a German soldier from the side, and they look to be an EM/NCO. It measures 5" x 6 3/8" x 13/16", made from solid brass, and weighs about 5.75lbs. A great piece of German WWII Memorabilia, ready to research and display!
