Item Description

Original Items. One-of-a-Kind Lot. This is a great lot of Civil War relics, the majority of which were dug up at Chattanooga, Tennessee, with one piece of a Confederate C.S. Iron buckle found at Baton Rouge, Louisana, in 1965. There’s also most of a Federal belt buckle with a note that it was dug up at Chesterfield county, Virginia.

The items in the lot include:
• Most of a Federal belt buckle crumbling in a bag, with a note that it was dug at Chesterfield County, Virginia.
• Much better Federal belt buckle with M stamp on the back, dug at Chattanooga.
• Relic US Belt buckle with heavy damage, fair shape for being ground dug.
• Small piece of a Confederate C.S. belt buckle with note that it was dug at Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1965. Site of Battle of Baton Rouge 1862.
• Large vaulted brass plate, likely a Cadet plate. Likely a post Civil War example.
• Two musket balls, one flattened, and a Civil War bullet with a slit.
• One Federal uniform button and one flat-head button, both with faded maker’s marks on back.

This is a great lot of Civil War relics dug at various places in the U.S., ready for further research and display!
