Item Description
Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is a great set of four different swagger sticks made for officers during World War I. Three of the swagger sticks have a similar handle featuring an eagle with U.S.A.. The fourth example is very interesting as it’s made from an entire cartridge, which is dated 1906. Not Available for Export.
The cartridge swagger stick has the bottom of the cartridge along with the still-intact primer as the handle, with the bottom being the other end of the cartridge. The cartridge is made by REM-UMC, for Remington. This example measures 22½” long. The other three swagger sticks are similar but with different lengths, all having the same style handle with different pointed bullets at the bottom. These measure 21¼”, 25”, and 26” long.
This is a great lot of WWI Officers swagger sticks, ready for further research and display!
